With something as iconic as Original Joe’s sign, you just need to see a wee little bit of it and you know what it is.

Established in 1956 by the Rocca Family,  and serving mostly Italian- American cuisine, Original Joe’s Restaurant is the one unchanging icon in quick-changing Silicon Valley. The first Original Joe’s was started in 1937 in San Francisco. The San Jose location outlasted the original and is still going strong.

    We used to eat there as a family. My dad knew the owner and he would come to our table and talk, making sure all our needs were taken care of. I was impressed with the visits thinking my dad must have been important for the owner to visit our table. Now I know it was probably good customer service.
