Dealin’ Dollar Dan. That’s what this wooden sign of the prospector is called. The name makes sense if you know it stood in front of Gold Rush Motors. Gold Rush Motors is now gone, but I’m glad Service Rent-A-Car, which now stands on the lot still leaves the sign up, even though it’s peeling and threatening to fall apart.

Decrepit he may be, but Dealin’ Dollar dan is still a pretty jaunty fellow: Look at the boots and hat on him!
