Dick’s Center was a part of a family-owned grocery store chain owned by Dick Yee. The first supermarket opened in 1948, on Fourth Street in San Jose and the building and giant sign still stand.

This next sketch is of the sign from the 3rd store. Not as old as the sign above, but far more attractive, particularly that lovely specimen of an arrow.
