Hotel Sainte Claire

Built in 1926 , Hotel Sainte Claire (now The Westin San Jose) was built on the site of the Eagle Brewery closed by prohibition in 1918. Construction and furnishing cost a total of $1,000,000 and the hotel became known as San Jose’s “Million Dollar Hotel”. In 1994 the Hotel Sainte Claire also earned a place on the National Register of Historic Places.

This sign, that lights up at night is the original sign from 1926.
